Silicon Border Development LLC, based in San Diego, was formed by former semiconductor industry executives who sought a better technology manufacturing solution for American companies. After leading development of multiple global plants, they determined to find a way to combine the best Asian master planning, quality controls and high productivity/low cost labor with optimum proximity to U.S. markets. After years of searching and planning, Silicon Border Science Park near Mexicali is the result of their quest.
Infrastructure construction within Silicon Border is managed by Maiz Transforma, a company that has executed major projects throughout Mexico since 1938.
